Locally-Led Sustainable Use Case Study - India

IUCN SULi published: a series of locally-led sustianable use case studies, with funding support form Jamma International.

This case study focuses on four initiatives spread across India, namely Mishing community artisanal fishing conducted in the presence of Ganges river dolphins in Assam, women-led harvesting and value-added processing of hill broom grass in Tamlu, Nagaland, Gond-governed bamboo management under a 1,006 ha Community Forest Resource (CFR) title in Pachgaon, Maharashtra, and Kotwalia bamboo handicrafts in Gujarat.
