Locally-Led Sustainable Use Case Study - India

IUCN SULi published: a series of locally-led sustianable use case studies, with funding support form Jamma Conservation and Communities.

This case study focuses on four initiatives spread across India:

1) Mishing community artisanal fishing conducted in the presence of Ganges river dolphins in Assam.

2) Women-led harvesting and value-added processing of hill broom grass in Tamlu, Nagaland.

3) Gond-governed bamboo management under a 1,006 ha Community Forest Resource (CFR) title in Pachgaon, Maharashtra.

4) Kotwalia bamboo handicrafts in Gujarat.
